Private Lending
Private lending refers to the practice of individuals providing loans directly to borrowers from their own personal capital, bypassing traditional financial institutions like banks or finance companies. These loans are negotiated directly between the lender and borrower and may involve terms and conditions different from those offered by traditional lenders. Private lending can encompass various types of loans, such as personal loans, real estate loans, or small business loans, and involves higher interest rates and greater flexibility in lending criteria compared to traditional lending channels. HEXAGON is a collaboration of like-minded individuals together working as a think tank to provide a source of private capital to others.
Underwriting
Loan underwriting is the process where a lender evaluates a borrower's creditworthiness and risk level before approving a loan. It involves assessing factors such as credit history, income, debt-to-income ratio, and collateral. The goal is to determine the likelihood of the borrower repaying the loan based on their financial situation and past behavior. Lenders use underwriting to decide whether to approve the loan, the loan amount, and the terms, such as interest rate and repayment schedule. This process helps mitigate the lender's risk and ensures responsible lending practices. As we are all individuals, each of us can decide what to approve or decline.
